Celebrate 30 years of the African American Read-In in Mebane! Join The Chapmans and the Mebane Public Library for this 30th  landmark anniversary event. Dr. Freddie Parker will kick off this event with a reading! This community gathering is part of a national movement to uplift Black authors and celebrate Black History Month through the joy of reading.

This event is proudly co-hosted by the Crimson Conversations Committee of the Burlington Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Together, we invite the community to explore powerful stories and honor the rich legacy of Black voices during the  nation's celebration of its 250th anniversary.
